Recently the Brisbane Roar Football Club (BRFC) announced a partnership agreement with QCSA - http://www.brisbaneroar.com.au/article/roar-announce-partnership-with-qcsa/1czcyp67oj02d1fdtzwii12vh5 that will provide a pathway to Brisbane Roar's Academy for talented QCSA players.
BRFC believe this new relationship with QCSA will ensure players can participate in football and be engaged in a positive training experience, regardless of individual circumstances. Roar Academy Director Drew Sherman is aware of the responsibility the Roar have to help grow the game in Queensland. Drew Sherman stated: "Working with QCSA allows us to identify talented players currently involved in church football that would have previously been missed by the system."
As part of the agreement BRFC shall provide:
  • One Talent ID workshop per year for QCSA members to attend aimed at improving the identification of potential high performing players;
  • Three Coach Education workshops per year aimed at improving the quality of grassroots delivery across the QCSA Clubs;
  • One Grassroots Goalkeeping workshop per year aimed at improving the access to GK coaching for QCSA Goalkeepers;
  • Inclusion of the QCSA and State-Church competitions into the Roar Talent ID & Recruitment activity plan to ensure that players recognized as high potential are offered the opportunity to access Brisbane Roar’s Academy.
The first Coach Education workshop is designed to assist coaches in the Under 6 to Under 11 age groups develop their coaching skills. This Coach Education workshop will be held on Monday 29 May 2017. The workshop will run for 1.5 hour commencing at 6:00pm. The venue for the workshop is at the Brisbane Roar Training facility at QUT Kelvin Grove (a small parking fee will apply).
BRFC are keen to build a strong working relationship with QCSA  and in turn QCSA would like to show our support to the partnership by providing 2 coaches from each club with Under 6 to Under 11 teams to attend this initial workshop. These workshop are free of charge so there is no expense to the coaches.

In order to make the workshop a success, clubs can you please provide the Neale Smith (QCSA Director of Coaching) the names of the 2 coaches from your club by Sunday 21 May 2017 that will be attending and be part of the initial workshop.
